Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Florida

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands, and our local team answers questions for Florida travelers before you book a milestone celebration on the island.

Marking a milestone is a good reason to step away from everyday routines. Many travelers from Florida already know warm weather, sea air, and the slower rhythm of a coastal place, and St. John offers a version of that feeling with its own character. A villa rented by the week gives your group room to gather, cook together, and mark the occasion without rushing from one commitment to the next. Planning from Florida has a few practical details worth settling early. Most visitors reach St. John by flying to St. Thomas, taking a taxi to Red Hook, and boarding the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Driving on the island is on the left, which is worth remembering if you plan to rent a car. Our team can walk you through these steps and help shape a stay that fits the celebration you have in mind.

Planning Your Celebration from Florida

  1. Getting to the Island. Most travelers from Florida fly into St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little extra room for the transfer, especially if the celebration falls on a busy day, and keep your bags manageable for the ferry crossing and any walking in town.
  2. Choosing Your Dates. Florida visitors often think about the season first, since the islands and the mainland have different rhythms. Consider the weather you prefer, the size of your group, and how many days the milestone deserves. Booking early gives your family or friends the best chance to align schedules, and our team can talk through timing before you commit to anything.
  3. Planning the Stay. A villa rented by the week suits a celebration well, with space for shared meals, quiet mornings, and a gathering place for toasts. Think about who is coming, what you want to do each day, and whether you will need a rental car. Share your plans with our team and we will help you match the villa and the schedule to the occasion.
