Celebrating from Bay Lake to St. John

  1. Getting to the island. Most visitors from Bay Lake reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which is the usual airport for the islands. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, and a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little extra time for the ferry connection, and keep your bags light enough to manage on foot. Once you arrive, remember that driving on the island is on the left, which takes a moment to get used to.
  2. Choosing the right season. Florida winters are mild by comparison with the northern states, but the islands have their own rhythm, so picking a season still matters for a celebration. Many milestone groups prefer the drier months when outdoor dinners and beach days are most comfortable. Think about the dates that matter to your guests, and talk with our team about which weeks fit your plans and your budget before you commit to a date.
  3. Planning the stay. Start by deciding how many people are coming and how much time you want for shared meals, quiet moments and any special touches for the honoree. A villa rented by the week gives you space to host a dinner, a toast or a small surprise without crowding into a hotel room. Share your guest list and goals with the St John Condos team, and we will help you match the villa and the schedule to the celebration you have in mind.
