Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Bristol, Florida
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so if you are planning a snorkeling week on St. John from Bristol, Florida, you can ask us anything first.
Bristol sits in the Florida Panhandle's northern reaches, a long way from warm Caribbean water, so a week of snorkeling and beach days on St. John is a real change of scene for most families who live there. The island is a US territory, which makes the trip feel familiar in some ways and very different in others. You will notice the clear water, the relaxed pace, and the way the days are shaped by the sea. Plan the week around how you like to spend your mornings. Some travelers want to be in the water before the wind picks up, while others prefer a slow breakfast on the villa deck and a late start to the beach. Our villas at the Westin St John Resort give you room to choose. Whatever rhythm you pick, the snorkeling and the sand will be close at hand, and we can talk through the details before you commit.

Getting from Bristol to St. John
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Bristol fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. It is a simple sequence, though it takes some planning around your bags and your connections. Keep your luggage manageable, since the taxi and ferry legs are easier with fewer pieces to carry.
- Choosing your departure. Florida winters are mild by comparison with northern states, but a Caribbean week in the warmer months still suits many snorkelers well. Think about when you want the water warm, when school calendars allow, and how crowded you want the beaches to be. Our team can share general guidance on seasons so you can choose a window that fits your plans.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives you a steady base for snorkeling days and quiet evenings. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so take your time if you rent a car. Think ahead about gear, sun protection, and a plan for each beach day. Send us your questions before you book and we will help you shape a week that suits you.
