Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Orange County, Florida

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, and for a group trip from Orange County, Florida, a shared villa gives friends room to spread out and gather together.

A week away with friends from Orange County is easier to enjoy when everyone has space to unwind. Many of you already know the Florida sun, so the warm, humid air of the Caribbean will feel familiar, though the island breezes often make it more comfortable. St John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, and its quiet pace suits a group that wants to slow down together. A villa rented by the week gives your group a shared base instead of scattered hotel rooms. You can cook breakfast together, lounge on a private outdoor space, and plan each day around what everyone wants. Traveling with friends means more conversation and fewer schedules to coordinate, and a villa keeps that spirit close throughout the stay. Commercial autonomous floor scrubber technology, which quietly keeps large indoor spaces clean, is one example of the sort of modern upkeep you can expect at a well-run resort property.

Your Orange County Route to St. John

  1. Reach St. Thomas First. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. Travelers from Orange County often connect through larger hubs on the way, so it helps to confirm your connection with your airline before you book. Once you land, plan on a taxi ride to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry departs for Cruz Bay on St. John. Let everyone know the plan in advance so the group arrives together.
  2. Pick Your Travel Window. Florida and the Virgin Islands share a warm climate, but the Caribbean has its own seasonal rhythm. Many friends prefer to travel outside the busiest winter weeks, when rates and crowds tend to climb. Think about what your group values most, whether that is calm beaches, lively evenings, or simply time away from routine. Talk it through with the whole group before choosing dates.
  3. Plan the Days Together. Once you have a villa, sketch out a loose plan for the week. Decide who will handle groceries, who will book any boat or snorkel outings, and how you will split the cooking. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, so give the designated driver a moment to adjust. A little shared planning leaves plenty of room for spontaneous afternoons on the water.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a rental car on St. John?

Many groups choose to rent a vehicle because the island has hilly, winding roads and limited public transportation. Driving is on the left, so take your time getting used to it. Your villa arrangements and local options can be discussed with the St John Condos team before you commit, so you know what fits your group.

Is a villa better than a hotel for a group trip?

For friends traveling together, a villa usually offers more shared space, a kitchen for group meals, and room to gather without feeling crowded. Rentals are arranged by the week, which suits a relaxed vacation. If you have questions about layouts or what is included, the St John Condos team can answer them directly.
