A week away with friends from Clive is a different kind of trip than a family vacation or a quiet getaway for two. Everyone wants room to spread out, a place to gather in the evening, and enough freedom to pick their own pace each day. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a group that wants to stay together under one roof without giving up the comfort of a full resort setting. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas and then taking a taxi to Red Hook, where a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay. Plan the connections with your whole group in mind, and remember that driving on the island happens on the left side of the road. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can talk through the logistics for your group.

Getting your Clive group to St. John
- Plan the way over. Most of your group will likely fly into St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook for the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Coordinate arrivals so that people landing at different times know where to meet, and agree on who will handle the taxi booking. Keeping one shared plan makes the transfer smoother for everyone.
- Choose your departure window. Iowa winters are cold, so many friends from Clive find that a warm island week feels especially welcome during the coldest months. Talk through what the group values most, whether that is calm weather, quiet days, or a slightly livelier stretch of the year. Once you agree on dates, St John Condos can help you compare what fits your schedules.
- Plan the stay together. Settle on a shared schedule before you arrive, including who handles groceries, who drives, and how you will split the costs of the villa. A commercial autonomous floor scrubber will not be part of your week, so the real planning is about people and plans. Share the details with the team at St John Condos early, and they will help you match the right villa to your group.
