Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Scottsmoor, Florida
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so friends planning a week away from Scottsmoor, Florida can talk through villa choices and the island stay before committing.
A week away with friends works best when everyone agrees on the basics early. Scottsmoor sits in the northeastern part of Florida, so many of you will already be used to warm weather and a relaxed pace. St John is a different kind of getaway, with its own rhythms, a small-island feel, and villas that give a group room to spread out and still share meals together. Think about how your group wants to spend its days. Some friends may want quiet mornings on a terrace while others plan to explore beaches, walk trails, or simply sit with a drink and talk. A villa stay keeps everyone close without crowding anyone, and the Westin St John Resort setting gives the week a comfortable home base. St John Condos can help you match your group's habits with the right villa before anything is booked.

Getting from Scottsmoor to St John
- Reach the islands by air. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi carries your group to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for a few bags per person and confirm everyone's flight details well ahead, so the whole group arrives together and the ferry connection stays easy.
- Pick the right time to leave. Florida's warm months are familiar to your group, but the islands follow their own seasons. Think about school schedules, work calendars, and travel costs as the group chooses dates. Talk through the options together early, and ask the St John Condos team which weeks suit a group traveling from Scottsmoor.
- Plan the stay as a group. Rent a villa by the week so the whole group shares one home base. Agree on a rough plan for meals, rides, and free time before you arrive. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so a passenger who knows the road can help the rest of the group feel at ease.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to rent a car for the whole week?
Not necessarily. Some groups prefer to rely on the resort and occasional taxis, while others want a vehicle for exploring. Decide as a group based on how much you plan to move around. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, which can feel unusual at first.
How do we split the cost of a villa among friends?
Agree on a shared budget before booking and decide how costs for lodging, food, and transportation will be divided. Write down who pays what so the week stays relaxed. The St John Condos team can explain what a villa stay includes so your group can plan with confidence.
