Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Olivet, Illinois

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for travelers from Olivet, Illinois, who have long dreamed of a splurge in the Virgin Islands and want a local team to help with the details before they book.

For many people in Olivet, a trip to the Caribbean stays on the list for years before it finally happens. Winters in central Illinois are long and gray, and a week or two on an island can feel like the reward you have been saving for. This page is written for that kind of traveler, the one who has been planning this particular trip for a long time and wants it to feel worth the wait. A villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you more room to settle in than a typical hotel room, and the rental is by the week, which suits a slow, unhurried stay. Nothing here is hurried. You can plan around your own pace, bring the people you care about, and let the trip be as quiet or as full as you want it to be, from the first morning to the last.

Planning a splurge from Olivet

  1. Getting to the island. Most visitors from Olivet fly to St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack into your schedule for the ferry and the drive, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left, which feels strange at first for drivers used to Illinois roads.
  2. Choosing when to go. Leaving a cold Illinois winter for the islands is one of the most rewarding timings you can pick, since the Caribbean stays warm all year. Think about when your work, your family, and your savings are most ready for a trip like this. Share your preferred weeks with the St John Condos team, who can tell you what they know about availability before you commit.
  3. Planning the stay. Because villas are rented by the week, it helps to decide early how many people are coming and what kind of pace you want. Some travelers want a full itinerary, while others plan almost nothing and let the days unfold. Write down what matters most to you, then ask the team questions before you book so the week you pay for fits the trip you imagined.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa a good choice for a special trip from Olivet?

For many travelers, yes. A villa gives you separate space, room to cook a few meals, and a quieter setting than a crowded hotel. Because the rental is by the week, you can settle in and relax. The St John Condos team can explain what each villa offers so you can choose the one that suits the occasion you are celebrating.

Do I need to plan much before I leave Olivet?

A little planning goes a long way. Confirm your travel dates, think about how you will reach St Thomas and then the ferry, and decide roughly how many people are coming. Ask the St John Condos team any questions you have before booking, and they will help you sort out the details so the trip feels calm rather than rushed.
