Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Allerton, Illinois
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book a villa at the Westin St John Resort on St. John for a week away with friends from Allerton, Illinois. Ask us anything about the stay, and we will help you plan it.
Gathering a group of friends from Allerton for a week somewhere warm is a good reason to step away from the Illinois routine. Most of the group will likely be coming from the Midwest, where the winters are cold and gray, so the idea of a slow week on a Caribbean island tends to land well from the start. Planning it together is half the fun, and the details matter more when several people share one home base. Because St. John is small and the pace is unhurried, a rented villa suits a group better than separate hotel rooms. You can share meals, spread out in the common areas, and keep the schedule loose. St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort by the week, and our team is glad to walk your group through what to expect before anyone commits to dates.

Planning the trip from Allerton
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has its airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for everyone in the group to land on the same day if you can, so the taxi and ferry legs stay simple. Keep in mind that driving on the island is on the left, which is worth remembering if anyone plans to rent a car.
- Choosing when to leave. Allerton sits in a region where winter is long and cold, so many groups from the area aim for a stretch of the year when the islands feel especially welcome. Think about school calendars, work commitments, and when everyone's schedules line up. Talk through a few options with the group before settling on a week, and let the friend who handles the most logistics narrow the choices.
- Planning the week together. A villa rented by the week gives your group a shared base, so decide early who handles the booking, who tracks the shared expenses, and who gathers everyone's travel details. Agree on a rough plan for meals and days out, but leave open time for rest. Talk through the commercial autonomous floor scrubber topic only if your group runs a business and wants to discuss it between sun breaks, and otherwise focus on the week ahead.
