Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Naples, Illinois
St John Condos helps travelers from Naples, Illinois, plan a multigenerational island trip, with villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John where grandparents, parents, and children can share space. Ask the local team anything before you book.
Planning a trip that brings grandparents, parents, and young children together takes more thought than a typical getaway. In Naples, Illinois, many families gather around one shared calendar, and the islands can feel like a big step if you have not traveled to the Caribbean before. The good news is that a villa gives everyone room to spread out, rest on their own schedule, and still come together for meals on a shared deck. Because the trip spans several ages and energy levels, it helps to settle the basics early. Think about who needs a quiet morning, who wants to be out exploring, and who prefers a slower pace by the water. A rental villa at the Westin St John Resort lets each generation keep its own rhythm while still keeping the family close, which is often the point of traveling together in the first place.

Getting from Naples to St. John
- Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors from Illinois fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT. From there you will take a taxi to Red Hook, then the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for older relatives to have a little extra time and help with bags, and check with the local team about the ferry and taxi so the transfer feels easy for everyone.
- Pick the right season. Naples sits in a region with cold winters, so many families from the Midwest find the islands especially welcoming during the colder months at home. Think about what suits your group best, whether that means warm, dry weather for grandparents or a quieter stretch for the youngest travelers. Your St John Condos contact can talk through timing before you commit.
- Plan the stay together. Share the villa details early with everyone, including which rooms are accessible for older guests and where the kids will sleep. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so consider who will be behind the wheel. Villas are rented by the week, so a shared plan for meals, outings, and downtime keeps the whole group relaxed.
