Planning your couples trip from Moro

  1. Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan on settling into that short sequence of connections with a relaxed mindset. Keep your travel documents handy, pack a light bag for the ferry, and give yourselves a comfortable cushion before any onward plans.
  2. Choosing when to go. Leaving Illinois in a colder season can make the warm Caribbean air feel especially welcome, while other months bring their own appeal. Think about what matters most to you as a couple, whether that is quiet mornings, a slower pace, or a stretch of time away from work. Once you have a rough window in mind, the local team can help you compare what each part of the year offers.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives you a natural rhythm for a couples getaway. Decide early how you want your days to feel, whether that means long swims, quiet reading, or an easy drive around the island. Keep in mind that driving on St. John happens on the left, so take a moment to get comfortable before you set out.
