Your path from Moline to St. John

  1. Getting to the island. Most visitors from Moline fly to St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little breathing room between your arrival and the ferry so the transfer feels relaxed. Once you step off the boat, you are already in the island's easygoing pace.
  2. Choosing when to leave. Winters in Illinois can be bitter, so many couples from Moline choose to leave during the coldest stretch of the year. The islands stay warm through the seasons, though the weather shifts a bit between the drier and wetter months. Think about the time of year you most want to feel the sun, the mood you want to bring home, and how much flexibility your calendar allows before you pick your dates.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which gives you room to slow down and make the trip your own. Think about how you want to spend your days, whether that means lazy mornings, a long lunch, or exploring the island at a gentle pace. Driving on St. John is on the left, so take a moment to get comfortable before you head out. Ask our team anything before you book.
