Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Marco Island, Florida
St John Condos helps travelers from Marco Island plan a week of snorkeling and beach days on St. John, rented villas at the Westin St John Resort included. Ask us anything before you book.
Marco Island sits on Florida's Gulf Coast, where the water is shallow, warm, and calm for much of the year. If you already spend your free time near the sea, a week of snorkeling and beach days on St. John will feel familiar in some ways and very different in others. The island's clear water and quiet bays make it a natural step up for anyone who enjoys looking at fish as much as swimming. A villa rented by the week gives you room to set your own pace. You can start the morning with a swim, spend the afternoon on the sand, and head back to your own kitchen when you want to. Travelers coming from a Florida coastal town often find that rhythm easy to settle into, and the team at St John Condos can help you choose a stay that fits how you like to spend your days.

Getting from Marco Island to St. John
- Reach the Virgin Islands. Most visitors fly into the airport on St. Thomas, which is the usual gateway to St. John. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay. Keep your luggage manageable, since you will be carrying it onto the boat and along the dock before you reach your villa.
- Pick the right season. Florida's summers are hot and humid, and the Caribbean season has its own patterns of rain and wind. Many people from Marco Island prefer the drier months for a snorkeling trip, when the sea tends to be calmer. Think about when you can get away from work and school, and compare that against the weather you enjoy most.
- Plan the week ahead. Decide early which days you want for reef snorkeling and which for simply lying on the beach. Bring your own mask and fins if you have a favorite pair, and pack reef-safe sunscreen. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so take that into account if you rent a car. Ask us about the setup before you commit.
