Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Lloyd, Florida

St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so a traveler from Lloyd, Florida, can ask about villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort and what a winter escape from the cold might look like before committing to anything.

Lloyd sits in the Southeast, where winters are mild compared with much of the country. Still, there are seasons when a traveler from here may crave something different: warm sand, clear water, and a slower pace away from the everyday routine. A villa stay on St. John, in the US Virgin Islands, offers that kind of change while keeping things familiar in the ways that matter, such as English as the common language and US dollars in use. The Westin St John Resort is where these villas are located, and each one is rented by the week, which suits travelers who want room to spread out, cook a few meals, and settle into the rhythm of the island. Visitors from Lloyd often find that a week of this kind feels like a true reset rather than a quick trip, especially when the pace of home has been steady for months.

Your winter escape from Lloyd

  1. Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. If you plan to drive once on the island, remember that traffic keeps to the left, which can feel unusual at first. Confirm your connections with your airline and ask our team about the easiest way to arrange the last legs of the journey.
  2. Picking your window. Lloyd residents usually think about escaping the cold during the coldest months of the year, when northern-style winter is far from anyone's mind here. Still, the Virgin Islands are pleasant across much of the year, so choose the stretch that fits your work, school, or family calendar. Talk with the St John Condos team about availability and what each season tends to feel like on the island before you decide.
  3. Planning the stay. Because villas are rented by the week, think about what you want from that time. Some travelers prefer lazy mornings on a beach and an evening meal at home, while others want to explore trails and coves. Decide how much structure you need, pack for warm weather with a light layer for cooler evenings, and bring any medications and travel documents with you. A short planning call can make the whole trip feel easier.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa stay on St. John very different from a hotel trip for someone from Lloyd?

Yes, in many ways. A villa rented by the week gives you a kitchen, separate living space, and room to unwind at your own pace. Many visitors from Florida find it feels more like a home base than a hotel, which suits a longer winter escape. The Westin St John Resort setting adds the convenience of resort grounds around you.

Do I need to rent a car when I get to St. John?

It depends on how you want to spend your days. Some guests rely on taxis and walking, while others prefer a rental car for exploring the island. If you do drive, remember that driving on St. John is on the left. The St John Condos team can talk through your options so you can decide before you book.
