Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Gladstone, Illinois
St John Condos helps friends from Gladstone, Illinois, plan a week together at a villa at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, a quiet island in the US Virgin Islands where a group can settle in and share one home base.
A week away with friends from Gladstone asks for a place that feels like home base, not a hotel floor with doors that open onto a crowded hallway. A villa rented by the week gives your group a shared kitchen, a table large enough for long dinners, and room for everyone to spread out when they want quiet. St John Condos is a local team, and they can talk through what a group of your size really needs before anyone commits. Illinois winters are long and gray, which is a good reason many people from the state treat a trip to the Caribbean as a real break rather than a short escape. Here the mornings are warm, the water is clear, and the pace of the island tends to slow everyone down together. Planning the stay with friends means agreeing early on who handles which details, so the week feels easy instead of tangled.

Getting from Gladstone to St. John
- Start with the flight. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, friends traveling from Gladstone usually take a taxi to Red Hook and then board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Ask your group to share flight details early, so everyone can land around the same time and the taxi ride starts as one unit.
- Pick your departure window. Leaving Illinois in the cold months can feel especially welcome, while other seasons bring their own appeal for a group. Consider which weeks suit everyone's work and school calendars, then compare notes with the St John Condos team, who can explain what each part of the year feels like on the island. Settle the dates once, in writing, so nobody is left guessing.
- Plan the shared week. Decide early how the group will split costs, who cooks which nights, and whether you want days apart or mostly together. Driving on St. John happens on the left side of the road, so plan rides with that in mind and agree on who will drive. A short shared list of plans, kept loose, lets everyone enjoy the week without anyone feeling pulled in too many directions.
