Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Flemington, Missouri

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for travelers from Flemington, Missouri, and our local team can answer questions about a multigenerational trip before you book.

Planning a trip for three generations together takes a bit more thought than a couple's getaway. Grandparents may want easy walking and quiet mornings, parents may want time to rest, and children may want room to run. A villa gives your group a shared home base, with separate spaces where people can retreat when they need them. Many families from Flemington find that setting this up in advance keeps everyone relaxed. The Westin St John Resort sits on the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands, a warm destination far from the cold winters many Missouri families know well. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, then take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Keep in mind that driving on St. John happens on the left, so the older members of your group may prefer a simpler plan. We are glad to talk through the details.

Getting from Flemington to St. John

  1. Start with the route. Most travelers from Flemington fly to St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Ask each generation whether a single long connection or a simpler arrangement suits them. Having this settled early makes packing, mobility needs and seating choices much easier for everyone.
  2. Pick the season carefully. Missouri winters are cold, so many families from Flemington welcome the Caribbean warmth in the colder months. Consider whether grandparents prefer milder weather, whether school calendars fit, and whether the children can join. Talk as a group before settling on dates. Your local team can share general guidance about the island's climate so the timing feels right for every member of the family.
  3. Plan the stay together. Villas are rented by the week, which gives a three-generation group room to settle in without rushing. Decide early who needs bedrooms near the ground floor, who wants a quiet space, and who would enjoy shared meals. Let each generation pick a few activities they care about. A little shared planning now means fewer surprises once you arrive on St. John.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa a good fit for grandparents, parents and children traveling together?

Often it is. A villa gives everyone private bedrooms and a shared living space, so people can gather or step away as they wish. Tell our team about any mobility needs or sleeping preferences, and we will help you find a layout that keeps the whole group comfortable and close.

How should our family from Flemington get around once we reach St. John?

Because driving on St. John happens on the left, some families prefer to limit driving, especially with older relatives. Plan your outings around what everyone can comfortably manage. Our local team can answer questions about getting around the island before you book, so nothing surprises you on arrival.
