Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Fidelis, Florida
St John Condos helps travelers from Fidelis, Florida plan a first trip to the Caribbean, with villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Ask us anything before you book and we will talk it through with you.
Fidelis sits in the Southeast, where the weather is warm for much of the year, so a trip to a Caribbean island can feel familiar in some ways and new in others. Many people from Florida come to the Virgin Islands for the first time expecting a short hop, only to find the islands have their own rhythm, their own pace, and a few small adjustments to learn. We want your first visit to feel easy from the start. St. John is a small island, and most of its visitors reach it by flying into St. Thomas and then making the short crossing by ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay. Driving on St. John is on the left, which catches many first-time visitors off guard. Renting a villa for a week gives you space to settle in, cook a few meals, and take the trip at a relaxed pace rather than rushing from place to place.

Planning your first Caribbean trip from Fidelis
- Getting to the island. Most travelers from Fidelis fly into St. Thomas, which is the usual gateway to St. John. From the airport, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Plan a little slack into your arrival day so the connection feels calm rather than tight, and keep your travel documents handy for the crossing.
- Choosing when to go. Florida travelers already know heat and humidity, but the Virgin Islands have their own seasonal patterns of rain and wind. Think about what you hope to enjoy most, whether that is quiet mornings, lively evenings, or long days on the water, and match your dates to that. Our team can tell you what to expect in the months you have in mind.
- Planning the stay. A week in a villa lets you ease in, so you are not spending your first days racing the clock. Pick a villa close to the things you want to do, and plan a few loose days rather than a packed schedule. Think about groceries, rental car logistics, and island driving before you go. If anything feels unfamiliar, ask us before you book and we will help you sort it out.
