Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Fayette, Iowa

St John Condos helps friends from Fayette, Iowa, plan a shared week at a villa on St. John, a quiet island in the US Virgin Islands, with a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

A week away with friends is one of the easier trips to plan when everyone has a clear picture of the place and the pace. Fayette sits in the Midwest, where winters are long and cold, so many people from there are ready for a stretch of warm air and slower mornings. A villa at the Westin St John Resort gives a group room to spread out, cook a few meals together, and gather on the terrace without sharing a single hallway. Planning a group trip works best when each person knows what to expect before anyone packs a bag. Talk early about how many bedrooms you need, whether you want a rental car, and how you will split the shared costs. If someone in the group has never traveled outside the country, mention that too, so the planning can stay relaxed and no one feels rushed. St John Condos can talk through these details with your group before any booking is made.

Planning a week away from Fayette

1. Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Once you arrive, plan on driving on the left side of the road if you rent a car, and let the group decide early who will do the driving so the first day feels easy rather than hurried.
2. Choosing when to leave Iowa. Think about the season before you pick dates. Friends from Fayette often prefer to leave during the coldest part of the year, when a warm island feels like a real change. Compare what works for everyone's jobs, school calendars, and budgets, and share a rough plan in a group chat so the choice comes from agreement rather than one person's guess.
3. Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a group that wants unhurried days. Decide together whether you want quiet mornings, beach afternoons, or a mix of both. Agree on shared meals, a simple chore rota, and who handles reservations and payments. A short list of shared ideas keeps everyone involved without making the trip feel like a schedule.
