Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Cleveland, Illinois

St John Condos helps Cleveland families plan a trip for three generations together, with villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John that give grandparents, parents, and children room to share one roof. Ask the local team before you book.

A trip with grandparents, parents, and children is one of the more rewarding kinds of travel, and also one of the trickier to organize. From Cleveland, Illinois, the distance to the Caribbean is real, and everyone in the group will have different needs for rest, food, and time apart. The question is less about where to go than about how to keep a wide range of ages comfortable at once. St John offers a quieter pace than many island destinations, which tends to suit multigenerational groups well. Villas at the Westin St John Resort give each family a space of its own while keeping everyone close enough to meet for breakfast or an evening together. A commercial autonomous floor scrubber may not be part of your vacation plans, but the same spirit of simple, dependable routine applies to a stay built around comfort.

Planning a three-generation trip from Cleveland

  1. Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for older relatives to have a seat near the front of the ferry and help with bags. Confirm everyone's mobility needs before you start traveling, and share the plan with the whole group early.
  2. Choosing when to leave Illinois. Cleveland winters are cold, so many families from the Midwest choose to travel during the cooler months of the year to escape the snow. Shoulder seasons can also give you a calmer feel on the island. Talk with the older members of your family about their comfort with heat and humidity, and let the youngest travelers have a say too. A date that suits everyone will make the whole trip feel more relaxed.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives a multigenerational group time to settle in without rushing. Discuss who needs bedrooms on which floor and whether anyone would like a quiet space to rest. Agree on a loose schedule with room for naps and slow mornings. Driving on St. John is on the left, so consider whether your group wants a rental car at all or prefers to plan around walks and taxis.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa better than a hotel for three generations?

For many families it is. A villa gives grandparents, parents, and children separate sleeping areas and a common space to gather, without the feeling of sharing a single room. Because villas are rented by the week, you can settle in and keep meals and rest times flexible for everyone.

Can St John Condos answer questions before we book?

Yes. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book. Tell them about your group's ages, mobility needs, and preferred dates, and they can help you think through which villa and timing might suit your family from Cleveland.
