Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Burgess, Missouri
St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for travelers from Burgess, Missouri, who want a week away with friends. Our local team can answer your questions before you book, from group sleeping arrangements to the trip south from the Midwest.
A week with friends is one of the easier ways to share an island stay, and Burgess travelers often come with a group that wants room to spread out. A villa at the Westin St John Resort gives everyone a place to gather in the evenings and a separate space to retreat to when someone wants a quiet afternoon. Planning around a shared rental also keeps costs and decisions simple for the whole crew. Because Missouri sits in the middle of the country, most of the trip south is a matter of connecting through a larger hub and then reaching the islands by a different kind of travel. Friends from the Midwest tend to appreciate knowing the steps ahead of time, so the group can agree on dates, split the logistics, and arrive ready to relax. The St John Condos team is glad to walk through those details with you before anyone books.

Getting from Burgess to St. John
- Reaching the islands. Most visitors from the Burgess area fly to St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan this route as a group so that everyone lands in roughly the same window, and share flight details in one place so no one is left waiting at the airport for a late arrival.
- Choosing your travel window. Missouri winters are cold, so many friends from Burgess find that a trip south in the colder months feels especially welcome. Talk through what the group values most, whether that is calm weather, quieter days, or simply time away from the Midwest chill. Once the group agrees on a window, you can settle on a week that suits everyone's schedule.
- Planning the week together. A villa is rented by the week, so the stay works best when the group decides early who is sleeping where and how shared expenses will be handled. Set a simple plan for meals, outings, and rest days, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road. Bring your questions to the St John Condos team before booking, and we will help you shape a week that feels easy for everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa a good fit for a group of friends from Burgess?
Many groups choose a villa because it gives everyone shared space to gather and private space to unwind. Let us know how many people are coming and what your group enjoys, and we will help you think through whether a villa at the Westin St John Resort suits your plans.
How should we split the travel planning as a group?
Assign one person to track flights to St. Thomas, another to coordinate the taxi and ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay, and another to handle the villa booking details. Sharing a single itinerary keeps everyone informed, and our team can answer questions along the way.
