Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Buffalo, Iowa
St John Condos can help a group of friends from Buffalo, Iowa, plan a week at a villa on St. John, a quiet island in the US Virgin Islands. Our local team answers questions before you book, so everyone arrives knowing what to expect.
Planning a week away with friends from Buffalo, Iowa, means balancing a lot of voices, budgets and calendars. Iowa winters are cold and gray, so many groups look forward to a warm stretch on a Caribbean island where the water stays inviting and the days feel unhurried. A villa rented by the week gives everyone room to spread out, cook together and keep their own schedules. St. John is a small island, and that is part of its appeal for a group. Most visitors reach it by flying to St. Thomas, then taking a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Driving here is on the left, so take a moment to get comfortable before you set out. St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort and is glad to walk your group through the details.

Getting your Buffalo group to St. John
- Gather the group early. Start by agreeing on dates and who is coming, since a shared week is easier to plan when everyone has the same picture. Ask each friend to note any travel needs, such as seat preferences or who wants a rental car. Share the plan in one place so questions do not pile up later, and check with the St John Condos team if anything about the villa or the island is unclear.
- Choose when to leave Iowa. Think about the season before you book. Iowa can be bitterly cold in winter and wet in spring, so many friends prefer to leave when the forecast at home looks rough. Remember that you will fly into St. Thomas and then continue to St. John, so build in a relaxed first day rather than an early start. A calm arrival makes the whole week feel more like a vacation.
- Plan the stay together. Once dates are set, decide how you will split meals, outings and quiet time. A villa works well when people know whether they want a full schedule or lazy mornings by the pool. Agree on shared costs ahead of time, and keep a simple list of who is handling which task. Clear expectations at the start leave more energy for the trip itself.
