Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Prescott, Iowa
St John Condos can help couples from Prescott, Iowa, plan a quiet villa getaway at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, where the slower pace suits two people who want time together.
Prescott sits in the middle of Iowa, a long way from any ocean, so a trip to the Caribbean often feels like a real change of scenery. Iowa winters are cold and gray, and many couples from the state look forward to warm water and open days when they can plan around nothing but each other. St John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, reached by a short ferry ride from St. Thomas, and its quieter feel makes it a natural choice for two people who want to slow down. A villa rented by the week gives a couple more room than a standard hotel room, with space to unwind after a morning on the beach or a slow dinner. Because the villas sit within the Westin St John Resort, you can keep the convenience of a resort while still having a private place to return to. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can talk through the details before you commit.

Planning your couples trip from Prescott
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors from Iowa fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From Red Hook you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little buffer for connections, since travel days from the Midwest can run long. Once you land, the island is small enough that getting around feels easy, though remember that driving on St. John happens on the left side of the road.
- Choosing when to leave Iowa. Iowa winters bring snow and short gray days, so many couples from Prescott choose to travel during the colder months at home, when warm sun on the islands feels especially welcome. Think about what kind of trip you want. Some couples prefer the calm of a quieter season, while others want a bit more energy. Talk it over together before you settle on dates, and let the timing reflect what you both want from the getaway.
- Planning the stay itself. Villas are rented by the week, which gives you room to settle in rather than rushing from place to place. Decide early whether you want a slow stretch of beach days, a few planned outings, or a mix of both. Think about meals too, since a villa lets you cook in if you like. St John Condos can answer your questions about the villa and the resort before you book, so you can plan the stay with confidence and simply enjoy the time together.
