Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Milton, Iowa

St John Condos helps couples from Milton, Iowa, plan a villa getaway on St. John, where the Westin St John Resort sits as a calm base for a shared trip. Ask us before you book and we will answer plainly.

Milton sits in the quiet farm country of Iowa, where winters are cold and long and a week of warm sun can feel like a rare gift. For a couple looking to step away from the routine, St. John offers something very different: a small island in the US Virgin Islands with easy days, clear water, and space to talk without interruption. Many couples find that the change of scenery does as much for their relationship as the trip itself. The villas that St John Condos rents are set within the Westin St John Resort, and they are rented by the week, which suits a couple who wants time to slow down rather than rush between stops. Our local team knows the island well and answers questions before you commit, so you can plan with clear expectations. Think of us as the people who help you get the details right, from the stay itself to the practical side of getting there.

Planning your trip from Milton

  1. Getting to the island. Most visitors from the Midwest fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan your connections with a little extra room, since island travel tends to be relaxed, and keep your documents close. Once you arrive, remember that driving on St. John is on the left, which may feel unusual at first.
  2. Choosing when to leave Iowa. Milton winters can be harsh, so many couples choose to leave during the colder months, when the contrast with Iowa is greatest and the island feels most like an escape. Shoulder seasons can also suit travelers who want quieter days. Think about what matters most to you, whether that is warmth, a calmer schedule, or simply a stretch of time away from home, and let that guide your dates.
  3. Planning the stay itself. Because villas are rented by the week, you can build a trip around your own pace, with slow mornings, long lunches, and room to simply do nothing. Talk through your interests as a couple before you arrive, whether that means exploring trails, reading by the water, or planning a quiet dinner. Reach out to St John Condos with your questions, and we will help you shape a week that fits the two of you.
