Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Marathon, Florida
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so travelers from Marathon can talk through a week of villa living at the Westin St John Resort with people who know the island well.
Friends from Marathon often picture a week together somewhere that feels both easy and a little removed from everyday routines. A villa at the Westin St John Resort on St. John can offer that mix, with room for shared meals, slow mornings, and time spent at your own pace. Many visitors from the Florida Keys already understand warm weather and water, but the Virgin Islands bring a different rhythm that is worth thinking through before you commit. Planning a group trip works best when everyone knows what the week will look like. Think about who cooks, who handles the rental car, and how you will split quiet time from lively evenings. St John Condos can help you sort out those questions, and the team is glad to explain how villa rentals by the week tend to work so your group arrives with fewer surprises and more time to enjoy the company.

Getting from Marathon to St. John
- Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi carries you to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry runs to Cruz Bay. Ask your group who will book flights so everyone arrives close together, and share confirmations early so no one is left waiting at the terminal.
- Choose your departure window. Florida winters are mild in the Keys, while the Virgin Islands stay warm through much of the year. Decide with your friends whether you want a winter escape or a shoulder-season week. St John Condos can talk through how the island feels during different parts of the year so your group settles on timing that suits everyone's schedules and comfort.
- Plan the villa week. Once dates are set, agree on shared costs, grocery runs, and driving duties. Remember that traffic moves on the left on St. John, so the person behind the wheel should feel comfortable with that. Keep a simple shared list of plans for each day, leaving open stretches so the week feels relaxed rather than packed.

St John Condos can explain how the villas at the Westin St John Resort compare with other arrangements so you can decide what fits your crowd.
How do we handle getting around the island as a group?
Many visitors plan around a rental vehicle, and it helps to remember that driving on St. John is on the left. Agree ahead of time who will drive and how you will share the car.
