Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Kingston, Illinois
St John Condos can help a group of friends from Kingston, Illinois, plan a week of villa living on St. John, pairing shared space with easy island days.
Planning a week away with friends from Kingston means getting several calendars, budgets and food preferences to agree before anyone packs a bag. A villa rented by the week at the Westin St John Resort on St. John gives a group room to spread out, cook together and slow down without splitting into separate hotel rooms. Most visitors reach the island by flying to St. Thomas, then taking a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Illinois winters are long and gray, so for many people from Kingston the appeal of a Caribbean island is the simple change of pace. Shared mornings on a veranda, unhurried dinners and a plan that leaves space for individual rest tend to matter more to a group than a packed itinerary. The team at St John Condos can talk through how a villa suits that kind of week before anyone commits.

Getting your Kingston crew to St. John
- Route from the Midwest. Most groups from the Kingston area fly into St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Ask your group to share flight details early so arrivals can be coordinated, and keep a copy of everyone's itinerary with someone back home.
- Picking the right season. Illinois visitors often plan around their own winter, so a trip in the cooler months feels like a clear escape. Think about school and work calendars across the group, and about what the weather feels like to people used to the Midwest. Talk through these details with the St John Condos team, who can explain what to expect before you settle on dates.
- Planning the shared week. Agree on a rough shape for the week before you arrive, including who handles groceries, which days are for beaches and which are for quiet. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so decide who is comfortable doing it. Use a simple shared note for plans, and leave open days so everyone can recharge. A commercial autonomous floor scrubber may keep the villa floors clean, but the group still needs a rhythm of its own.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa a good fit for a group of friends from Kingston?
Usually, yes. A villa gives everyone private bedrooms, shared living space and a kitchen for simple meals. Many groups find it easier than several hotel rooms because the whole crew can gather in one place. The St John Condos team can describe the layout so you can decide whether it suits your group.
Should we book before we talk to anyone?
You don't have to. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can ask about rentals, arrivals and the week ahead. Bring your group's dates and any concerns, and they can help you judge whether a villa rented by the week fits your plans.
