Planning your island escape from Kellerton

  1. Getting from Iowa. Start by looking at connections from the Iowa area to St. Thomas, the airport code STT. Once you land, a taxi can carry you to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay on St. John. Give yourselves a relaxed buffer on the day you arrive, since island travel rewards patience. Driving on St. John is on the left, so many couples find it easier to rely on taxis or arrange transport in advance.
  2. Choosing when to go. Iowa winters are long and cold, so many couples from Kellerton find that the coldest months back home are the ones that feel most worth escaping. Think about what kind of trip you want, whether that is a quiet stretch of sunshine or a time when the island feels especially calm. Travel dates are a personal choice, and the St John Condos team can talk through what to expect so you can decide with confidence.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which gives couples room to settle in and stop checking the calendar. Decide early how much of your time you want planned and how much you want open, then share that with the St John Condos team before booking. A good plan balances a few anchor days with plenty of unscheduled ones. Mention any special occasion when you reach out so the team can help you prepare.
