Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Graceville, Florida
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, and we are glad to help families from Graceville, Florida plan a stay in villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John.
Graceville sits in the Florida Panhandle, where the Southeast climate runs warm and humid for much of the year. For a family used to that kind of weather, a trip to the US Virgin Islands can feel like a change of pace, with a different rhythm of days and a shoreline that invites slow mornings. Many families find that the island setting makes it easier to keep everyone together without a packed schedule. A villa rented by the week gives a family room to spread out, cook a few meals, and settle into a routine that suits children of different ages. The Westin St John Resort is a practical base for that kind of trip. St John Condos is here to talk through the details with you, so the planning feels calm rather than rushed, and you arrive knowing what to expect.

Planning a family trip from Graceville
- Getting to St. John. Most travelers reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Plan for a little extra time with children and luggage, and keep important items in your carry-on. Driving on St. John is on the left, so if you rent a car, take a moment to get comfortable before heading out.
- Choosing when to travel. Florida families often head to the islands in the cooler, drier months of the winter, when the air is more comfortable and the days feel easygoing. Summer brings warmer temperatures and the chance for quieter beaches. Think about school calendars, your children's energy levels, and what kind of pace your family enjoys, then choose the season that fits your plans.
- Planning the stay. Because villas are rented by the week, you can build a stay around your family's habits, whether that means lazy mornings, shared meals, or time at the pool. Make a short list of must-do activities and leave room for spontaneous ones. Send your questions to St John Condos before you book, and we will help you match the villa size and layout to your group.
