Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Clewiston, Florida

St John Condos helps families from Clewiston, in south-central Florida, plan a villa stay at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, where three generations can share one roomy home base. Ask the local team before you book and they will walk you through the details.

Clewiston sits in the flat, sunny heart of Florida, where the pace of life often suits grandparents, parents, and children alike. When a family decides to take a trip together, the first challenge is usually finding a place that gives everyone room to breathe. A villa rented by the week can solve that, offering separate bedrooms, a shared living space, and the freedom to eat breakfast on your own schedule. The US Virgin Islands are a different kind of getaway from the mainland, with warm air, clear water, and a slower rhythm that many multigenerational groups find easy to settle into. St. John is a small island, and the Westin St John Resort gives you a calm place to unpack and let the days unfold. Some families spend mornings on the water and afternoons resting, and a villa lets each generation choose its own pace.

Getting from Clewiston to St. John

  1. Reaching the islands. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi will carry your group to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for luggage with wheels, since the ferry dock involves some walking, and confirm your group's arrival details with your airline before you travel.
  2. Choosing when to leave. Clewiston families often think about school calendars and grandparents' schedules first, so pick a window when everyone can truly step away. The islands stay warm year round, which means you can aim for a quieter stretch when the crowds thin out. Talk through the dates as a family and share them with the St John Condos team, who can help you match them to villa availability.
  3. Planning the stay. Driving on St. John is on the left, so older travelers may prefer a relaxed plan that relies on shuttles or short walks. Consider a villa with one floor that is easy to move around in, and ask about accessible features when you call. The team can also help you prepare a simple packing list and a shared schedule so that every generation feels included.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa a good fit for a family with grandparents and young children?

Usually, yes. A villa gives each generation a bedroom and bathroom space of its own, along with a common living area for meals and conversation. Tell the St John Condos team who is traveling, including any mobility needs, and they can help you find a layout that keeps everyone comfortable and close together.

How do we handle getting everyone from the airport to the villa?

Most groups fly into St. Thomas, take a taxi to Red Hook, and ride the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Because the trip involves several steps, it helps to book transport in advance and pack light. The St John Condos team can explain what to expect so no one is caught off guard.
