Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Cape Canaveral, Florida
St John Condos helps families from Cape Canaveral plan a shared trip to St. John, where a villa at the Westin St John Resort can hold three generations under one roof. Ask us anything before you book.
Cape Canaveral sits on Florida's Atlantic coast, so many families from here already know the feel of warm water and sandy air. A trip for three generations asks for something a little different, though: room for grandparents who want quiet mornings, parents who want a bit of structure, and children who want to run. St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort, and we know that a shared home base can make a multi-generation trip feel easy rather than crowded. Planning for mixed ages is mostly about pace and privacy. You may want a villa where the older members can rest without missing the afternoon swim, and where the younger ones can come and go without disturbing anyone. Think about bedrooms, kitchen space, and how far everyone needs to walk. Our team can talk through those details with you before anything is booked, so the trip you imagine is the trip you get.

Planning a multi-generation trip from Cape Canaveral
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Traveling with grandparents and small children means building in patience for each leg. Consider who will carry bags, whether anyone needs a seat near the aisle, and how you will keep everyone together at the ferry dock.
- Choosing your season. The islands stay warm through most of the year, which suits a family that spans several decades of comfort levels. Talk with your relatives about what they enjoy most, whether that is calm water, shade, or a quiet porch. Settling on a time to travel early gives everyone a chance to adjust schedules and health plans well in advance.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives you time to settle in rather than rush from place to place. Decide ahead of time who will drive, since driving on St. John is on the left, and plan shared meals so the cooking is spread out. Leave open days for rest, because a mixed-age group does best with a loose plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa better than a hotel room for a family from Cape Canaveral traveling with grandparents?
For three generations, a villa often gives everyone more room to spread out. Grandparents can have a quieter space, children can make noise without worry, and the kitchen lets you eat together on your own schedule. Our team can help you compare layouts so each group feels settled.
Can St John Condos help us plan something that works for a commercial autonomous floor scrubber business trip paired with family time?
We can talk through your situation before you book, including whether a work stop fits alongside a family stay. Many travelers combine the two. Tell us your dates and needs, and we will be honest about what the villas can and cannot support.
