Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Beaman, Iowa

St John Condos helps three generations from Beaman, Iowa, plan one shared villa stay at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, with a plan that suits grandparents, parents, and children alike.

A trip with grandparents, parents, and children takes more shaping than a trip for one household, and that is where a local team earns its keep. From Beaman, the journey starts with a flight to St. Thomas, a taxi to Red Hook, and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Each leg asks something different of each age group, so it helps to think about who needs rest, who wants motion, and who needs a quiet corner at the end of the day. Beaman sits in the Midwest, where winters run cold and long, so many families from there are ready for warm sun and an easy pace. Three generations often share a villa at the Westin St John Resort because it gives everyone space to gather or to drift off on their own. St John Condos can talk through layouts, room arrangements, and how shared meals might work before anyone commits to a booking.

Planning a Beaman trip to St. John

  1. Reaching the island together. Most visitors from the Midwest fly into St. Thomas, where the airport code is STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Keep older travelers close to the front of the line, pack light for the ferry, and make sure everyone has the same plan for luggage and seating before you leave home.
  2. Choosing when to go. Iowa winters are cold, so the islands can feel like a welcome change at almost any point in the year. Think about school calendars, work schedules, and the comfort of the oldest traveler in your group. A quieter stretch of the year may suit grandparents who prefer fewer crowds, while a busier stretch may appeal to teenagers who want more to do and more people around.
  3. Planning the stay itself. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which gives a multigenerational group room to spread out and regroup. Decide early who needs a bedroom near the bathroom, who wants a quiet space to read, and who will handle the rental car, since driving on St. John is on the left. A commercial autonomous floor scrubber may sound like an odd thing to mention, but properties that keep floors spotless on a schedule make a shared home feel easier to live in.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa a good fit for three generations from Beaman?

Often it is. A villa gives grandparents a comfortable bedroom, parents a place to unwind after dinner, and children room to play. Tell the St John Condos team who in your group needs step-free access, a separate sleeping area, or a spot to relax, and they can help you match your group to the right layout.

Do we need to sort out the trip ourselves before we ask questions?

Not at all. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can ask about travel from Iowa, the ferry crossing, and what the Westin St John Resort area is like for mixed ages. Bring your rough plan and the team will help you shape it into something your whole family can agree on.

Can I ask questions before I decide on commercial autonomous floor scrubber?
