Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Aurora, Illinois
St John Condos helps couples from Aurora, Illinois, plan a quiet getaway at a villa on St. John, a short ferry ride from St. Thomas, and can answer questions before you book.
Aurora sits in the Midwest, where winters bring cold and snow for much of the year. For a couple used to gray skies and heavy coats, a stay on St. John offers a very different pace, with warm air, clear water, and days that feel unhurried. Many couples from Aurora want time together without a crowded itinerary. A villa rented by the week gives you room to slow down, cook a meal together, and plan the day around what you both feel like doing rather than a fixed schedule.

Getting from Aurora to St. John
- Plan your route. Most travelers from the Aurora area fly to St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, and then a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Ask the St John Condos team to confirm the current ferry and taxi arrangements before you leave home, so the last leg of the trip feels simple.
- Choose your departure season. Illinois winters are long and cold, so many couples choose to leave during the colder months when the islands feel especially welcoming. Think about what you hope to get from the trip, whether that is warmth, quiet beaches, or a slower rhythm, and let that guide when you book your dates.
- Plan the stay around you. Once you have a villa booked, decide how much of your time you want planned and how much left open. Note that driving on St. John is on the left, so consider whether you want a car at all or prefer to rely on taxis. The St John Condos team can talk through these details with you before you commit.
