Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Savannah, Missouri

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for families traveling from Savannah, Missouri, and our local team can answer your questions before you book. Tell us who is coming and what the group needs, and we will help you plan a relaxed family stay.

For a family leaving Savannah, the trip to St. John begins well before the beach. Most families fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook before boarding the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Planning that sequence with children in tow makes the whole journey feel more manageable. Once you arrive, a villa rented by the week gives a family room to spread out, cook simple meals, and settle into a slower rhythm than a hotel usually allows. Keep in mind that driving on St. John happens on the left side of the road, so take a moment to adjust before you head out with the kids. Our team is glad to talk through whatever your group is wondering about.

Getting your Savannah family to St. John

    1. Reaching the islands. Most of your family's journey will run through St. Thomas, so plan the connection with patience. From there, a taxi carries you to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay. Pack snacks, entertainment, and a change of clothes for the younger travelers, since the last leg tends to feel longest after a full day of travel.
    2. Picking the season. Missouri winters are cold, so many Savannah families look toward the islands when the weather at home turns gray. Think about school calendars, your children's activities, and the kind of weather you want on the beach. A calmer stretch of the year can make the days feel less rushed for everyone in the group.
    3. Shaping the stay. A week in a villa works well for families who want space, a kitchen, and time for both shared outings and quiet afternoons. Map out a loose plan for the beach, meals, and downtime so no one feels overscheduled. Let St John Condos know your group size and needs, and we will help match you with a villa that fits.
