Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Riverside, Missouri
St John Condos helps travelers from Riverside, Missouri plan a first trip to the Caribbean, with villas rented by the week at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. Our local team is glad to answer your questions before you book.
If Riverside is home for you, a first Caribbean trip can feel like a big step, and that is a good thing. St. John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, so the pace is easy and the surroundings are quite different from a Missouri town. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas and make their way across by taxi and ferry, which keeps the whole journey simple. Staying in a villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you room to spread out, cook a meal when you feel like it, and take a slower morning. Villas are rented by the week, which suits people coming from the middle of the country who want time to settle in. Our team can walk you through what to expect so the first trip feels familiar rather than overwhelming.

Planning your Caribbean trip from Riverside
- Getting to St. John. Most travelers from Riverside fly into St. Thomas, the airport code is STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Once on the island, remember that driving is on the left, which may take a little getting used to. Renting a car is a common choice, and we can share what we know about it before you arrive.
- Choosing when to travel. Missouri winters are cold, so many people from Riverside are drawn to the islands during the colder months at home. The Caribbean stays warm through much of the year, so you can pick a stretch that fits your work, school, and budget. Think about what you want from the trip, whether that is quiet beaches, time with family, or a slow week away, and let that guide your dates.
- Planning your stay. Start by deciding how many days you want on the island and what kind of villa suits your group. Because villas are rented by the week, a longer stay often feels more relaxed than a short one. Make a loose list of must-do plans and leave plenty of open space. Then reach out to our local team with your questions before you book, so your plans fit the way you like to travel.
