Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Northwoods, Missouri
St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for travelers from Northwoods, Missouri, planning a week away with friends. The team answers questions before you book, so you can settle the details of group travel with people who know the island.
A week with friends on St. John can feel like a shared adventure from the first planning call onward. Northwoods sits in the middle of the country, far from the ocean, so most of your group will be swapping a familiar landscape for warm water and a slower rhythm. Plan early, talk through who is coming and what everyone hopes to do, and the rest tends to fall into place more easily than you might expect. Villas at the Westin St John Resort give a group room to spread out while still being close to the rest of the resort. Rentals are booked by the week, which suits a crew that wants to unwind together rather than rush from place to place. Because the island is small and the pace is relaxed, many friend groups find that the shared kitchen, the deck, and the daily routine become the heart of the trip.

Getting from Northwoods to St. John
- Start with the flight. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From Northwoods, your group will likely connect through a larger hub before reaching the islands, so compare options with everyone at the table. Agree on a shared arrival window so people are not waiting around at the airport on their own.
- Cross to the island. After landing on St. Thomas, take a taxi to Red Hook, then board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Keep bags light and carry anything you cannot afford to lose. Driving on St. John is on the left, so anyone renting a car should think about that before the trip begins.
- Choose your departure season. Missouri winters are cold, so many Northwoods travelers aim for the islands during the colder months back home. Warm weather is part of the appeal for a group that wants sun and water. Talk through the calendar with your friends, since school schedules, jobs, and family commitments will shape which week works best.
