Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Morrisonville, Illinois
St John Condos helps friends from Morrisonville, Illinois, plan a week together in villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands, with a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
A week away with friends is a good reason to head south. Morrisonville sits in the middle of Illinois, where winters are cold and gray, so many people from the area are glad to trade snow boots for sandals. A group trip gives everyone a shared place to unwind, cook together, and wander the island at their own pace. Villas at the Westin St John Resort give a group room to spread out while still being close to the water. You can plan quiet mornings, long lunches, and easy evenings without juggling several hotel rooms. The St John Condos team is happy to talk through the details so your group arrives with a clear plan.

Getting from Morrisonville to St. John
- Reaching the islands. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan this route as a group so everyone knows who is meeting whom and where luggage needs to go. Driving on St. John is on the left, so many friends prefer taxis or sharing a rental for the week.
- Timing your departure. Think about when your group can realistically leave Illinois and how the weather in your home region will feel in contrast. Many travelers from the Midwest aim for the winter months, when the contrast with home is greatest. Talk with your friends early so everyone can request time off and coordinate travel dates before flights fill up.
- Planning the week together. Decide what kind of week your group wants before you arrive. Some friends want beach days and quiet porches, while others want to explore trails and dinners out. Agree on shared costs, meal plans, and who handles grocery runs. Rent villas by the week, and let the St John Condos team help you match the right layout to your group size.
Frequently asked questions
Can a group of friends from Morrisonville stay together in one villa?
Many groups do. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented as whole homes, which suits friends who want shared kitchens, living space, and a place to gather. Ask the St John Condos team about layouts and sleeping arrangements so everyone knows what to expect before you commit.
How should we handle getting around the island as a group?
Since driving on St. John is on the left, many groups choose taxis for simple trips and share a rental car only when everyone is comfortable with it. Talk through your plans with the St John Condos team and they can point out practical options before you book.
