Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Monett, Missouri
St John Condos helps travelers from Monett, Missouri plan a week away with friends at a villa on St. John, a short ferry ride from the main island. Ask our local team anything before you book.
A week with friends on a Caribbean island is a different kind of trip from one with family, and the planning should reflect that. Travelers from Monett often find that a villa gives everyone room to spread out, cook together when they feel like it, and still walk to the shared pool or beach without much fuss. The Westin St John Resort sits in a quiet spot on the island, and the villas that St John Condos rents are set up for groups who want privacy and a shared base. Missouri's inland climate means most of you will be used to hills, farmland and a continental weather pattern, so the warm, humid air of the islands may feel like a change at first. Plan for a slower pace in the afternoons and give everyone a day of doing nothing. Bring light layers for the evenings and a plan for who handles the grocery run, the rental car and the shared bill, so the week stays relaxed.

Your week away from Monett
- Getting to the islands. Most visitors from Missouri fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Coordinate arrivals with your group so everyone lands close together, and let your St John Condos contact know the arrival details so the villa is ready when you walk in.
- Choosing when to leave. Think about what kind of week you want before picking dates. Leaving Missouri during the cooler months of winter can feel like a bigger escape, while the warmer seasons on the islands bring more rain and heat but often lower crowds. Talk through school schedules, work commitments and everyone's budget as a group, and ask our team which weeks suit a group of your size.
- Planning the stay. Once dates are set, agree on a rough plan for the week without overscheduling it. Decide who is bringing what, how meals will work, and whether you want a rental car for exploring the island. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, which catches some visitors off guard. Keep a shared list of plans and reserve anything in advance that you care about most.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa really better than a hotel room for a group from Monett?
For a group of friends, a villa usually gives more space, a kitchen for shared meals and separate areas to relax. Hotel rooms can be fine for short stays, but a villa keeps everyone together while still giving people room to step away. Our team can walk you through the layouts so you can judge what suits your group.
What should we know before booking a villa rented by the week?
Villas on St. John are rented by the week, so your group should settle on dates and the number of guests early. Ask about what is included, how check-in works and what to expect when you arrive. St John Condos is a local team, so you can ask questions before you commit to anything.
