Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Leon, Iowa
St John Condos helps couples in Leon, Iowa, plan a villa stay at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, US Virgin Islands. Their local team answers questions before you book, so you can settle the details first.
Leon sits in the middle of Iowa, a long way from warm water, which is part of why a Caribbean escape can feel so welcome. Many couples from this part of the Midwest look forward to a quiet week together after a busy stretch at home. A villa rented by the week gives you room to slow down, cook a few meals, and step outside whenever you like. The island is small and green, and it moves at its own pace. Cruz Bay is the lively end of St. John, while the Westin St John Resort offers a calmer setting for the two of you to spend time together. Plan for a trip that feels unhurried, with plenty of space for conversation, rest, and the simple pleasure of being away from ordinary routines. The team at St John Condos can help you choose a villa that suits how you like to travel as a pair.

Getting from Leon to St. John
- Reaching the islands. Most visitors from Iowa fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack in your schedule for the transfers so the first day feels relaxed rather than rushed. Pack light, since the taxi and ferry leave little room for extra luggage.
- Choosing when to leave. Iowa winters are cold, so many couples from Leon choose to leave during the colder months when the islands feel especially inviting. Travel in the warmer seasons can be quieter and more affordable for some travelers, so weigh the weather against your budget. Whatever season you pick, bring light clothing, a hat, and a good pair of sandals for walking on sand and stone.
- Planning your stay. A villa rented by the week suits couples who want privacy and flexibility. Before you book, talk with the St John Condos team about the layout, the views, and what is included. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, so take a moment to get comfortable before heading out. Setting a loose plan for each day leaves room for the unplanned moments you may remember most.
