Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Huntley, Illinois

St John Condos helps couples from Huntley, Illinois, plan a quiet island getaway at the Westin St John Resort, with villas rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

For couples leaving Huntley, a getaway on St. John can feel like a complete change of scenery. Winters in northern Illinois are cold and gray, and many of us are ready for warm water, slow mornings, and a little room to talk without a schedule pressing in. A villa at the Westin St John Resort gives two people a private place to settle in, cook a simple meal, and simply be together. Planning this kind of trip from the Midwest often starts with a simple question: how do we keep it relaxed? The answer is usually to pick a few things that matter most to you as a pair, such as a long breakfast, a walk along the shore, or an evening with nothing to do. We can talk through those choices with you, so the trip feels like yours and not a checklist.

Planning Your Couples Trip from Huntley

1. Getting to the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay. From Huntley, you will likely connect somewhere along the way, so build in a little slack for your travel day. Once you land, the ferry and taxi are simple, and our team can explain each step before you go.
2. Choosing when to go. Winter in Huntley is a good reason to look at the islands, but many couples also enjoy the quieter stretches of the year when the crowds thin out. Think about what you want from the weather and the pace of the place. Tell us your preferred season, and we will help you think it through before you commit to dates.
3. Planning your stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits couples who want time to unwind rather than rush. Decide how much you want to plan ahead and how much you would rather leave open. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, so think about whether you will rent a car or prefer to relax and let the day unfold.
