Commercial Autonomous Floor Scrubber in Concordia, Missouri

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for friends from Concordia, Missouri, who want a shared week together on the island. Our local team can answer your questions before you book, including how a group stay fits together.

A week away with friends from Concordia tends to work best when everyone has a clear picture of the plan before anyone packs a bag. Missouri sits in the middle of the country, so most of your group will likely be coming from far inland, which means a warm Caribbean setting can feel like a real change of scenery. A villa gives your group room to gather, cook together, and spread out when you want some quiet. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a group that wants a longer, unhurried trip rather than a series of short stops. Shared space makes it easier to split the day between time on the water, lazy mornings, and dinners that run late. This page walks you through the practical pieces so the trip feels easy from start to finish.

Getting your Concordia group to St. John

  1. Plan the journey in. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then taking a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Ask everyone in your group to share their home airport early so the arrivals can be lined up. Keeping everyone on a similar schedule means fewer stranded friends waiting at the dock.
  2. Pick your leaving window. Think about when your group can realistically leave Missouri. Winters here are cold, so many friends from the Midwest look forward to a tropical break during the colder months, while others prefer the calmer stretches of the year. Talk through vacation days, school calendars, and budgets together before choosing dates, then lock them in as a group.
  3. Plan the stay together. Once dates are set, agree on who handles the villa booking, the shared grocery list, and the rental car. Driving on St. John is on the left, so anyone behind the wheel should go in with that in mind. Assign roles and a simple shared plan, and your week will feel relaxed rather than rushed.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a car on St. John?

Many groups find a rental car useful for getting around the island, but remember that driving is on the left. Talk with the St John Condos team before you book so you know what to expect for your group's routine, whether you plan to move around a lot or mostly stay near the villa.

How do we split costs fairly among friends?

Start with an honest conversation about what each person wants from the week, then agree on how shared expenses like groceries and transport will be divided. Writing the plan down in a simple shared note keeps everyone on the same page, and our team can talk through the villa side of things before anyone commits.
